It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sybil Marie Anderson, age 95, our beloved aunt, on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Sybil was born in Burgeo, Newfoundland on May 22, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Mahalah (Prosser) Anderson.
Sybil was a member of St. Matthew Wesley United Church and for many years was a member of the Church Session, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Sybil is survived by her nephews Charles Arthur Anderson, Frank Black, Carl Anderson and Billy Anderson, her nieces Margaret Clarkson and Shirley Penny, a special grandnephew Aaron Anderson, as well as a number of other grandnieces and nephews.
Sybil was predeceased by her husband Arthur Anderson, by her sister Dorothy Black, her brothers Russell, William, Lawrence, Carl, Roy and Elliott Anderson.
There will be no visitation or funeral service for Sybil. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Matthew Wesley United.
