Marjorie Morgan
New Glasgow – Marjorie Morgan. On October 24, 2015, at the Aberdeen Hospital, Marjorie Elaine Morgan went home to be with her Saviour.
Marjorie was born on September 18, 1922, a daughter of the late Arthur and Jessie (MacNeil) Morgan.
Marjorie was a lifelong resident of New Glasgow, having worked in Halifax but coming home every weekend to be with family and friends.
She attended school at St. John’s Academy and completed her grade twelve at New Glasgow High School. He also completed a business course at St. John’s Academy.
Marjorie worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for many years before moving over to the Canadian National Railway until her retirement.
Marjorie is survived by sisters: Jean Livingstone, Anne Cullen and Mona Anderson, all of Stellarton; numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
Marjorie was predeceased by her sisters: Frances Worthylake and Evelyn Flynn; brothers: Arthur and William Morgan.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral mass 11 am Tuesday in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory may be made to Saint John the Baptist Church. St. John’s CWL will meet at the funeral home at 1:30 pm Monday for prayers.
