MCMILLIN
Glen Edward McMillin, aged 85 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away in the Regina General Hospital on Wednesday, October 21st, 2015. He was born on December 3rd, 1929 at Chaplin, SK. He was predeceased by his father, John William McMillin in 1957 and mother, Alice Genevieve (Jordan) in 1973; sisters and brothers in-law; Irene (Joe) Deeney, Elnora (Dale) Robey, Dorothy (Kenneth) Senneff, Opal (Fred) Smythe, and Flossie (Leonard) Peters; nephew, Theron Robey; and niece, Jan Robey. Glen leaves to mourn his loving wife of 41 years, Lois; sister-in-law, Lillian Firth and family; brother-in-law, Kenneth Johnson and family; nieces and nephews: Loretta (John) Mattus; John (Margaret) Smythe; Darlene (Ben) Hoogstraten; James Peters; Lorne (Marilyn) Peters; and Revelyn Lonning; as well as several great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. Glen attended school at Strongfield and Hanley. He enjoyed bicycle and horse riding. In 1948, Glen moved with his Dad and Mother to a farm south of Central Butte, and he also worked on nearby farms. Then in 1954 he moved to Chaplin where he worked in road construction. In 1962 he moved to the USA and worked in Iowa and also spent some time in California. Here he fulfilled one of his dreams by becoming a pilot and flew small airplanes. He returned to Moose Jaw, SK in 1974 and married Lois Eleanor Johnson. He worked on road construction and later janitorial work at Peacock Collegiate before retiring in 1995. Glen was a loving husband, cherished by his family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Reverend Barry Holtslander will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. A Time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 27th, 2015 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Glen’s name may be made to St. Marks Presbyterian Church, 80 High St E, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0B8.
