The death occurred at Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Monday, October 26, 2015, of Jean Anna Costain, aged 85 years, wife of the late Eldon Costain. Born in Roxbury on October 20, 1930, daughter of the late John D and Viola (MacLean) MacDonald. Dear mother to Barb MacDonald, Summerside; Frances Cole, Saint John, N.B.; Wayne (Marion) MacDonald, West Devon; Marjorie MacDonald, Summerside; James (Karen) MacDonald, Lethbridge, AB; Charles (Helen) MacDonald, O'Leary; David Henderon, Upton, N.J.; Eric MacDonald, Garfield, N.J.; Bernadette "Barb", N.Y.; Carmella MacDonald, U.S; Colleen Arsenault, Summerside; Stanley (Connie) Rayner, Knutsford; and Carman (Sally) Rayner, Salisbury, N.B.; and stepmother to Ruthie Cornish, Duvar; Helen Rayner, ON; Billy (Marcella) Rayner, Charlottetown; Ricky (Barb) Rayner, Wilmot; and Edith Rayner, Elliot Lake, ON. Loving grandmother to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Jean is also survived by sisters and brothers Donald (Wanda) MacDonald, Hamilton, Leona (Archie) Bridges, St. Gilbert; Kathy MacDonald, Elliot Lake, ON; David MacDonald, ON; and William MacDonald, St. Catharines, ON. Predeceased by parents, husbands Wilfred MacDonald, Ray Rayner and Eldon Costain, daughter Rosalita MacDonald, stepson John Rayner, sister Eva Costain and brothers John and Ronnie MacDonald. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held in the chapel Thursday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in West Devon United Cemetery.
