It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Ervin Langille, 82, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015.
Born on Tancook Island, he was the son of the late Ervin and Lola (Stevens) Langille.
He was a fisherman by trade for 60 years, fishing crab, lobsters, salmon and sword fish.
He was a devote member of the Sydney Pentecostal Church.
Ervin was the happiest when he was outside hunting, trapping or picking berries.
Ervin is survived by his loving wife, Laura (Hibbs) Langille; his daughter, Michelle (Toby) Fudge; son, Glenn (Pamela) Langille; his wonderful grandchildren, Nicole, Marc, Kyle and Aaron. He is also survived by his sisters, Essie Moore, Ontario, Blanche (Murray) Levy, Little Tancook Island, Robert (Peggy) Langille, Tancook Island, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Marjorie Levy, Irene Levy, Muriel Perkins; brothers, Percy Langille and Wilfred Langille (Second World War)
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Sydney Pentecostal Church, Victoria Road. A funeral service will take place Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Sydney Pentecostal Church with Rev. Ron Coole officiating.
Interment to take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
