ATWOOD, Jennifer June – age 66, Brenton, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born June 10, 1949 in Durham Co., England, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Hilda (Marriott) Goodes. Jennifer, who loved life and lived it to the fullest, worked in fashion sales for some time, but more recently she worked at the Time Out Lounge in Yarmouth, where she made many friends through the years. In her spare time she enjoyed making crafts and karaoke singing. She is survived by her loving husband, Curtis B. Atwood, as well as by daughters, Michelle Deveau (Bob Ryan), Dartmouth and Debbie Smith (Bernie Amirault), East Pubnico; a “special daughter”, Shirley Patey, Yarmouth; step-children, Curtis Atwood, Oak Park and Jodi (Michael) Devine, Shag Harbour, as well as by grandchildren, Michael Duckworth and Madison Clairmont; great-grandchildren, Jackson Maxwell and Kyrie Wright; step-grandchildren, Roman Devine, Shannon Devine, Dominic (Weldon) Goreham and a brother, Cyril (Susan) Goodes, Parker, Colorado. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by a foster child, Irene Pothier; a grandson, Matthew Duckworth and a sister, Pauline Robertson. In accordance with Jennifer’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there was no visitation or funeral service.
