With great sadness, we announce the passing of Vincent McCann, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on October 27, 2015. Vincent was born in Enniskillen, NB on October 3, 1945 to the late Marjorie Murray and Arnold McCann.
Vincent worked for the Department of National Defence as a civil servant and retired after 33 years, he worked at moving targets and roads and grounds. He enjoyed nature and would spend his free time hunting, fishing, playing golf and spending time with his family. He also loved to play his guitar for family and friends.
Vincent is survived by his wife of 44 years, Eleanor (Ivey) McCann, one daughter Heidi (Greg) Ogden, one son Stuart McCann, two brothers; Lloyd (Suzanne) and Murray (Francine) McCann, one sister in-law; Laurette McCann, three grandchildren; Bryson Maher, Wyatt Ogden and Garret Ogden, and two nephews; Shawn McCann and Nick (Wanda) McCann.
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by a brother Gary McCann.
Visitations will take place at Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville, on Friday October 30, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral service will be at St. Columba Catholic Church on Saturday October 31, 2015 at 11am with Father Mark Trzop officiating. Interment will be in St. Columba Catholic Cemetery. If you wish, donations may be made in Vincent’s memory to the Lung and Kidney Foundation or a charity of donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Blissville, NB.
