THOMPSON (NEE SMITH), ALETHA CONSTANCE “CONNIE”
Aletha Constance “Connie” Thompson (nee Smith) wife of the late Robert Thompson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born on January 21, 1928 in Marshalltown, Digby Co., NS, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lillian (Simms) Smith.

Connie loved her Lord Jesus Christ. She always took great comfort in her faith and had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1982. In 1947, Connie married her soul mate Robert and together they devoted their lives to raising their family.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Susan Thompson of Saint John; sons, Paul Thompson (Cora) of Fredericton, Keith Thompson (Mary), Dwight Thompson (Wendy), Steven Thompson (Joanne) and Bruce Thompson (Jo-Anne) all of Saint John; sister, Carolyn Hubbard (George) of Saint John; brother, Bruce Smith of Greenwich Hill, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Connie was also predeceased by her grandson, Ross Thompson; brothers, Raymond and Arthur Smith; as well as nephew, Neil Smith.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at a later date in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
