Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 18th day of October 2015, Mr. Herbert Elias Pittman of Englee, in his 84th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Ronald (Elaine) Pittman of Englee; daughters Jean (Austin) Randell, Bide Arm, Shirley (Wayne) Canning, Surrey, British Columbia, Joyce (Toomas) Soots, Estonia, Sharron (Eric) Reid, Englee, and Doreen Pittman, Fort McMurray, Alberta; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie, his parents Noah and Nellie Pittman, his brothers and sisters. Visitation took place at the Apostolic Faith Church in Englee from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22 with Pastor George Burton officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
