Passed peacefully away at the Valley Vista Home in Springdale on October 23, 2015, Maisie Tucker of Springdale (formerly of Ship Cove), in her 72nd year. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her four children, Boyd of Ship Cove, Gerald, and Dean (Shannon) of Ontario and Michelle (Daniel) of Fredericton, New Brunswick; three grandchildren, Kaelem, Josee and Chloe; two brothers, Life (Jane) of Springdale and Keith (Lysann) of Toronto, Ontario; four sisters, Mary of St John's, Bessie (Ray), Shirley (Noah) of Springdale, and Mabel (Wilfred) of Ship Cove, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. The funeral service took place at the Ship Cove United Church on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. with Rev Gus Pendleton and Rev. Wilson Gonese officiating. She was laid to rest at the Ship Cove United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
