Mitchell Nevada Veenhuis

The family of Mitchell Veenhuis are deeply saddened and heartbroken to announce his sudden passing on Wednesday Oct 28th 2015, due to a motor vehicle accident in New Brunswick. Mitchell was born in Truro, N.S. and resided in Westville, N.S. until his teens when he moved to Minto, N.B. with his family. He graduated from Minto High in 2011 and was currently employed with Sobeys, Oromocto as an assistant meat manager.
He will be very sadly missed by his mother and step-father, Stacey and David Heagney, Juniper, N.B. and his father and step-mother, Richard and Cindy Veenhuis, Minto, N.B. He leaves behind his brother Matthew Veenhuis (Charlene Holland) Fredericton, N.B. and their children, Dylan, Lilah, and Chase.  His Nieces and Nephews, Trenton NS Lexis, Jayda, Phoenix and Bryson. His best friends DJ Fasquel and Mackenzie Hoyt, both of Minto, N.B. His grandparents, Hank and Maria Veenhuis, Westville, N.S. and Pat Hughes, New Glasgow. N.S. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him greatly.
Mitchell has been reunited with his loving sister, Brittany Veenhuis who passed away in May 2015. His wit, sense of humor and tremendous love of life will live on in the hearts of all that knew him.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov 1st 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the Hogg Funeral Home, Minto, N.B. Funeral will be held Monday, Nov 2nd at 2pm at the United Baptist Church of Minto. Burial to take place at the Grey Road Cemetery, Union Center, N.S. on Wed Nov 4th at 2pm with a reception to follow. www.hoggfunerals.ca
