McLEOD, WILLIAM "BILL"
It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of William "Bll" Walter McLeod, age 78, of Sackville. Bill passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sackville, NB, he was a son of the late Beverly and Isabel (Wry) McLeod.
Bill worked for the Town of Sackville for many years. He was a member of the Sackville Fire Department. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially at the cottage.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Judy of Sackville, children Trudy (Tony) Wood, Sackville; Greg (Vivian), Sackville; grandchildren Dustin, Stefanie, Jordan, and Jazmyn; siblings Colin, Moncton, Betty Lou McLeod, Amherst, and Beverly (Ron) Smith, Point De Bute, NB.
He was predeceased by grandson Gregory Tyler McLeod; sister-in-law Margaret and brother-in-law Francis.
Cremation has taken place under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 7 to 9 pm. A graveside service will take place at the Westcock Cemetery on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 2 pm, Rev. Dr. Ranall Ingalls officiating.
Those wishing to make a donation in Bill's memory may do so to the Westcock Cemetery, Dr. Georges L. DuMont Nephrology Unit, or the Tantramar Extra Mural Foundation, Sackville.
The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the many Health Care Professionals from the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Nephrology Unit, the Tantramar Extra Mural, The Moncton Hospital and the Sackville Memorial Hospital who have provided wonderful care and support to Bill and his family over the years.
