WESTCOCK, N.B.- It is with deep sadness that the family of Douglas Carman Snowdon, announces his passing following a brief illness, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Thursday, October 29, 2015 with his family and his devoted friend Paul at his side. Douglas was 63 years of age.
Born in Sackville, NB. on November 17, 1951, he was the son of the late Shirley Bernice (Tower) and Carman Floyd Snowdon.
Douglas was a loving and caring person who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing cards, snowmobiling and most of all he enjoyed the long fishing trips with his best friends. He also had a great love for his side kick, Wesley “Wes”.
Douglas will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen (Johnson); sons, Wade (Stacy), Chris and Steven (Jen); daughter, Lori-Ann; step-son, Duane (Kim); brothers, Frank and Charlie; sister, Penny; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Douglas was pre-deceased by his sisters, Judy and Tammy; niece Judith and by his nephew, David.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (364-8188). Visitation took place at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at Campbell’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. The burial will take place in the Westcock Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Douglas may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
