Warren John Legge

Legge, Warren John, 59, of Truro, passed away peacefully at home, in the arms of his sister, on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Born in Truro, August 9, 1956, he was a son of the late Keith and Thelma (Aker) Legge. Warren is survived by daughter, Lacey Elliott, and her husband, Adam; son, Keith Legge, and his mother, Mona (McGill) Legge; sister, Carole Phee (Howard); brother, Donnie Legge (Susan), and their children, Pat, Levi, Mackie, Zoe, and families; grandchildren, Jayden and Emma; many dear friends and business associates. He was predeceased by loving parents Keith and Thelma. Warren was a graduate of CEC and Acadia University. He spent his working life at A. J. Walker and Sons as Treasurer and then President/Owner. His hobbies included golf, bridge, and watching movies and all sports events. He was a member of the Truro Golf Club, where he was also on the executive. He was a warm, caring person who valued his family and friends. He helped many people over the years both personally and as a well-respected business man. Known for his winning smile, and was also a devoted grandfather – his grandchildren were very special to him. On behalf of Warren, the family wishes to thank the many friends, medical professionals, Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, and the Truro Golf Club. A private family service will be held. A celebration of Warren’s life will be held on Sunday, November 8, at the Truro Golf Club, 86 Golf Street, Truro, between the hours of 1 – 5 pm, (all welcome). Family flowers only. Donations in Warren’s memory may be made at the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro, Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society, or to a charity of your choice.
