E. Bernell MacAloney

It is with heavy hearts that the family of E. Bernell MacAloney age 76 of Fort Lawrence, Cumberland County announce his passing on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash with his wife by his side.
Born in Fraserville, he was a son of the late Charles “Edward” and Sophia (Madeline) MacAloney.
Bernell worked in the Parts Department for D.A. Casey Ford in Amherst and later worked at Taylor Ford in Moncton Retiring in 2003. He enjoyed camping and traveling to Florida and Myrtle Beach. After his retirement Bernell and Carolyn enjoyed building their cottage at Mattatall Lake with the help of family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Porter), one daughter Deborah (Jack) Gilroy of Leicester and one son Paul (Jennifer) MacAloney of Keswick Ridge, NB, seven grandchildren Tyler, Emma, Noah, Hannah, Charlie, Cody and Corey, two step children Kevin (Linda) Duguay of Amherst and Kimberley (Webster) Doherty of Waverley, NS, two step grandchildren, James and Jennifer, one brother Cleyle (Lottie) MacAloney of New Prospect, NS and nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Bernell was predeceased by a sister Betty Bennett.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 12 until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. all in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906).
Rev. Byron Corkum officiated.
Interment took place in the Amherst Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Bernell’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of your choice.
