McCONAGHY, REGINALD STANLEY
Reginald S. McConaghy of Millville, NB passed away peacefully on November 8, 2015 at his home with his wife and children at his side. He was born at Millville, NB in 1945, a son of the late John and Lottie (Giberson) McConaghy.
Reg was employed by Greenlaw Potato Farm and later at Ste. Anne Nackawic, retiring in 2002 after 32 years of service. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed fishing and carpentry and was most happy when he was cutting and hauling wood. He loved to be “Gramp” to his 4 grandchildren who he loved to spoil. Reg was a member of the Millville United Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley (Flemming) McConaghy; his son, Gregory McConaghy (Julie) and their children, Riley and Matheson; his daughter Natalie Hill (Benjamin) and their children, Shyanne (Jesse) and Kaylee; his siblings, David McConaghy (Glendenna), Wanda McConaghy (Jerome), Pam Barr (Stan) and Gail Stewart (Wayne); his mother-in-law, Hazel Flemming; his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Flemming, Rowena Wallace (Clinton) and Barbara McHatten (Lorne); several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth McConaghy, his infant brother, Jackie McConaghy and his father-in-law, Willard Flemming.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Trevor McGuire officiating. Interment at Hawkins Corner Cemetery.
