Everett Cecil Mader

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Everett Mader, age 70, on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015.
He was a son of the late Olive (Young) and Melvin Mader, formerly of Mira Road, and resided in Main-a-Dieu.
Everett found great enjoyment watching NASCAR races, and going to Riverside Speedway Antigonish and Scotia Speedway in Halifax.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, especially all his friends Dynasty Cabs.
Everett is survived by his companion, Diane; sisters, Beverly (Pat), Paula (Gerry), Patsy, Eleanor (Edward); brothers Weldon (Sharon), Doug (Helen), Robert (Judy); grandson, A.J.; former wife, Anne (Gillis) Mader. He is also survived by Diane’s three daughters, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth.
Visitation took place on Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 7-9 p.m. at the S.W Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Funeral will be held today (Thursday, Nov. 12), at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Cremation will follow, and burial at Resurrection Cemetery on Friday at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
