KINSMAN (Crocker), Glenna – age 94, Welsford, Kings Co., passed away Tuesday, November 10th., 2015, at Grand View Manor in Berwick. Born in Newport, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Daisy Crocker of Millville, foster daughter of the late Ben and Muriel Cheney of Kentville. Glenna was a graduate of Kings County Academy in Kentville and the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow. Known for her compassion, she worked as an R.N for 40 years, most of it at the Western Kings Memorial Hospital in Berwick, where she was dearly loved. Living in Welsford all her married life, Glenna was a dedicated wife, mom and grandmother. She was also very active in Welsford Community Club, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and as a member of the Baptist Church in the Weston-Welsford-Somerset Ladies Auxiliary. She and her late husband, Earle, were avid square dancers and belonged to several Valley clubs, where they met many valued friends. They travelled extensively to dance, including trips to Hawaii and England. Predeceased by her husband, the late Earle Kinsman, Glenna spent her last years living with her devoted daughter and son-in-law; until moving to the Grand View Manor in Berwick where she received wonderful care. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Donzella Kilcup and Beatrice Chase; brothers, Cecil (Crocker) Patterson; Earle Crocker, and foster brothers, Ralph and Ben Cheney. Survived by sons, Bradford (Georgene) Kinsman, Novi, Michigan; Lindsay (Sherilyn) Kinsman, Welsford; daughter, Connie (Bill) Milne, Welsford; brother, Frederick S. “Ted” (late Jean) Crocker, Windsor; grandchildren, Cynthia (Stu) Irvine, Kelli (Todd Zwicker) Kinsman, Amanda (Hunter) Brule, James (Amanda) Kinsman, Coby (Alison) Milne, Jennifer (Troy) Schmidli, Stephanie Kinsman; great grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and David Irvine, Mason and Bronwyn Zwicker, Alexis, Brooke and Brennan Kinsman, Tyler MacEachern and Liam Milne. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21st from 6 to 8pm, in the Chipman Annex of the Berwick Baptist Church, 265 Commercial St., Berwick. Funeral service and reception will be Sunday, November 22nd at 3pm, both at the Berwick Baptist Church. Rev. Lori Crocker officiating, with interment to be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
