GOODWIN, KATHLEEN
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Annie Goodwin, age 91, of Coburg, NB. Kathleen passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 13, 2015 with family by her side. Born in Bellingham, Washington in 1923, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Frances (Foord) Dale.
Kathleen was a loving wife, having worked along side her husband on the farm for many years. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Baie Verte Seniors Citizen's Club, and loved playing Bingo. She enjoyed music, and during her time at the Drew Nursing Home, always looked forward to all the musical activities, and was also a member of the Drew's Walking Club.
She is survived by son William Frank "Bill", Cape Pele; daughter; Marie (Shaun) Callaghan, Coburg; grandchildren Kimberly (Bobby), Dieppe and Steven (Cathy), Cape Pele; great-grandchildren Megan "The Girl", Jamie and Cameron "The Boys"; special daughter-in-law Corinne Duguay, Dieppe; sisters Millie Redden, Berwick, NS and Hilda (Benny) Milhomme, Brossard, PQ; sisters-in-law Nina Dale, East Hampton, Mass, Peggy Goodwin, Port Elgin, Helen Franklin, Florida; step-sister-in-law Carol Dale, Nova Scotia; several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Frank; brothers Norman, Stanley and John; sister Mae Chapman and infant sister Mary; step-brother Robert Dale.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday from 1 until 2 pm, followed immediately at 2 pm with the funeral service, officiated by William Drysdale, DLM. Burial will take place with her husband in the Baie Verte Cemetery at a later date.
Donations may be made to the Drew Nursing Home, the Alzheimer's Society, or the charity of your choice.
