MATHILDA JEAN WHITE
Mathilda Jean White was born on October 11, 1925, to Ernest and Mary Taylor in the Taylorside District. She passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Jean attended the Taylorside School. She attended the Taylorside Brethren Hall where she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at a young age. She met the love of her life and when Harold returned from the war in 1946, they were married. They farmed in the Armley District until 1958 when they bought a farm in the Glen Mary District. In 1981, they retired and their sons-in-law took over the farm. In June 1994, Mom lost the love of her life. She remained on the farm until 1996 when she moved to Kinistino and worked at Jo-Jo’s with her granddaughter, Shawna. She really enjoyed this time meeting people and making a lot of new friends. In 1999, Jo-Jo’s closed and she missed it a lot. Mom lived on her own until 2013, when she moved into Jubilee Lodge. She leaves to mourn her passing: Annabelle and Paul Dahlsjo; Kelly and Stacy - Piper, Sadie, Avery and Jaxon; Shawna and Guy Boyd – Jordie, Carter, Alyssa; Kevin; Shelley and Gregg Van De Sype – Sophie and Logan; Judy and Wayne; Mike; Sherry and Frank Legacy – Austin, Brandon, Danielle and Cheney; Jodi Twele – Draydon and Anna; Ryan and Chelsea – Hayden and Rilie; her sister-in-law Ann; numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Mary Taylor; her husband Harold; her grandson Barry; her brothers and sisters-in-law Henry (infant), Alf (Ruth), Harold (Louise), Earl (Joyce), Stan (Ethel), Myrvin (Lillian), Donnie; her sisters and brothers-in-law Jessie (Roy) McKinnon, Alma (Richard) Nielson, Winnie (Frank) Murray. On behalf of the family, we wish to express our gratitude for your many kindnesses extended in thought and deed. A special thanks to the staff at Jubilee Lodge for your excellent care for Mom. Also, a special thanks to Eldeen Johnson for her care for Mom while she was in her own home. A funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 17 from Lake Park Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Lees and Pastor Brian Langendoen officiating. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Jubilee Lodge Auxiliary, Kinistino, SK. Interment will take place at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
