RICHARD, ARMAND
Armand Joseph Richard, loving husband of Leona (Bordage) Richard, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1933 in Acadieville, NB he was the son of the late Francois and Edmee (Roach) Richard. In addition to his parents he is brothers Ivon and Bernard; sisters Alma and Anita.
Armand was a Carpenter by trade and was very passionate for his work. He was a avid sports fan and enjoyed watching hockey, baseball and boxing. Armand was a man of strong faith and a member of his parish St. Francois de Sales. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and several mixed leagues at the Saint John Bowlarama.
In addition to his loving wife Leona he is survived by his daughters Monique Richard of Alberta, Claudette Richard LaForest of Grand Bay and Charlene Richard of Saint John; grandchildren Michael Richard, Daniel Richard, Alex LaForest and Stephanie LaForest; great-grandchild Emily Kelly. Also survived by his brothers Eloi Richard of Ontario, Rev. Alphonse Richard of Shediac, Gerald Richard of Massachusetts, Jean Richard of Montreal and Leo Paul Richard of Saint Paul; Rose LeBlanc of Dieppe, Yvonne Cormier of PEI and Bernadette Chenard of Sainte-Maire-de-Kent; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francois-de-Sales on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. Following cremation interment will take place in Cimetiere d’Acadieville at a later date.
Remembrances in memory of Armand may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice. T
