Muriel "Snookie" MacLean
Trenton - Muriel Emma “Snookie” MacLean, age 74, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Sylvanus and Gladys (MacDonald) Dee.
She was a retired baker from Glen Haven Manor and a former employee of Sobeys and elevator operator at the Maritime Building.
She was a member of the First United Church, Trenton; former CGIT leader; member of Ceilidh Chapter No. 10 O.E.S. and a member of the former Lady Doric O.E.S.
She is survived by sons: Lloyd (Wendy), Trenton; Ralph (Deannie), Trenton; daughters: Marie (Kamil) KaKush, Ontario; Lynn (Marc) Ryan, Ontario; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Kaye (Frank) Taylor, Coalburn; brother, David, Trenton; long-time partner, Spurgeon MacDonald.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Dee and sister, Beverley Anne.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Saturday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton.
Funeral service 1:30 pm Sunday in the First United Church Hall, with Rev. Wade Reppert officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice. Family flowers only please.
Ceilidh Chapter No. 10 O.E.S. will meet at the funeral home at 6:30 pm Saturday to conduct their service.
