It is with great heartfelt sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our beloved angel Mary Tapper of St. John's, aged 69 years. Mary was born on January 1 1946 in North River, Newfoundland. She was a licensed practical nurse for 39 years. Predeceased by her husband of 42 years James Tapper; parents James and Winnifred Cummings; sister Bessie; brother Joseph; twin sister Helen Frances Willfang; brother Richard (Dick) Cummings; brother-in-law Patrick Neville and sister-in-law Anne Cummings. Left to mourn with treasured loving memories are daughter Mary Renee; son-in-law Michael; precious grandchildren Thomas and Julia whom she adored and loved with all her heart. Sisters Bernadette (Cyril) Perchard; Agnes (Patrick, deceased) Neville; brothers Frank (Patricia) Cummings and James (Laura) Cummings; sister-in-law Anne (Richard (Dick), deceased); brother-in-law Wayne (Helen (twin sister), deceased). Leaving to mourn her godchildren David Neville, Michelle Perchard and Michael Leonard as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and family. Mary's best friend of 38 years was Jean Leonard. The Leonard family were her extended family. Florence Leonard-Dorado was like her second daughter whom she cherished. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted.
