With great sadness we announce the passing of Greta (Lynk) Feldman on Nov. 17, 2015, at Seaview Manor, Glace Bay surrounded by family.
Born in Glace Bay, Greta was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mamie Lynk.
Greta was the loving wife to Horace 'Lefty' Feldman, mother to Betty Ann (Bert) Wood, John Robert Feldman and Don (Marilyn) Feldman. Grandmother to Robert Feldman, Broderick (Michelle) Wood, Robin Feldman and Jamie Feldman. Great-grandmother to Christopher and Timothy Wood and Rachel Feldman. Friend and loving sister to surviving siblings Arthur (Chris) Lynk, Robert (Helen) Lynk, Elvira (Naish) Batten and Aubrey 'AC' (Dawn) Lynk. After her family, Greta’s passion was her art and her summers on the Mira. Greta was a founding and lifetime member of the Cape Breton Artists Association. Numerous paintings were donated and displayed in various institutions in Cape Breton and prints of her paintings were included on artwork to raise money for Cape Breton Hospitals.
Greta loved to host family and friends at the cottage on the Mira. These gatherings have given us many cherished memories.
Greta was predeceased by husband Horace Feldman, daughter Betty Ann Wood, brother Aubrey Lynk, sister Marion Weldon and great-grandson Jonathon Wood.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Visitation will take place on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Patten Funeral Home Chapel.
