Passed away peacefully at Silverthorn Care Community, Mississauga on November 15, 2015, just three weeks shy of her 95th birthday. Predeceased by her husband, Carleton Burnes (on Dec. 9, 1977), Faye leaves her daughter, Julie of St. John's NL, son Michael and his wife Diane, of Mississauga, ON and loving granddaughter, Kelly, of Ancaster, ON. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Silverthorn Care for their kindness, compassion and expert care provided to Faye for the last two and a half years. It was Faye's wish that there would be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
