George Edward Lewis
The family of the late George Edward Lewis, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to so many kind and generous people during the loss of our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. To those who sent cards, food, donations and condolences, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Special thanks to Dr. Marek Knott and his staff for the special care George received, also the staff of the Northside Community Guest Home, ER and 4 West of the Northside General Hospital. Thank you to Local 682 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union for attending George’s wake and funeral, the help and support they give to their members is unbelievable. Thank you to the Royal Canadian Legion for their Last Post Service and supplying their hall for the funeral reception. Thank you to the Funeral Reception Team of St. Joseph Parish, for the lovely lunch supplied by them and also for the prayers given by the Knights of Columbus #5109, North Sydney. Thank you to the residents of Central Court Apartments for the food, cards, monetary gift and the luncheon provided by them for my family during the wake. Words cannot express how grateful we were.
To Father Patrick O’Neill, Father Jake Andrea and Rev. Ritchie Robinson for the beautiful funeral service, Thank You! To the pallbearers, George’s grandsons and to the honorary pallbearers, members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #19. To Frank McNamara, David Lewis and Estelle Penny who were lectors at the funeral mass, Thank You! Also thanks to the St. Joseph Parish Funeral Choir for the beautiful hymns. To the staff of Dooley’s Funeral Home, Peter Walsh and Dan Campbell your professionalism, friendship and help was exceptional and we will be forever grateful.
