It is with profound sadness, the family of Jennifer Anne Williams, 27, of Halifax, N.S., announce her passing, among those she loved, on Nov. 19, 2015, at their family home. Born on Nov. 30, 1987, in New Waterford, N.S., Jennifer is the eldest daughter of John Jules (Jill) and Valerie Williams (Beaton), sister of Hilary and Laurel Williams, and girlfriend of Garrott Hutchison.
Jennifer graduated Breton Education Center (2006) and NSCC Waterfront Campus from the Medical Laboratory Technology Program. She was recently employed by Canadian Blood Services, Halifax, N.S.
Jennifer was a free-spirited soul who found fun and happiness in everything around her, allowing her to make the most of every moment. Her laid-back, easy-going, up-for-anything personality was magnetic, attracting many close friends. Jennifer could make anyone laugh with her quick and witty humour, followed by her infectious smile. She had a passion for travelling, making many wonderful and happy memories with her family and friends. Throughout her life, Jennifer continued to love and cherish her relationship with her parents, sisters, and family dog, Sophie. Jennifer and her mother were especially fortunate to share an amazing mother-daughter bond. When Jennifer was told how much she was loved, she was always heard replying: “I love you more”, and mom’s reply was always: “not possible.” Jennifer was well-loved by her dad who will miss her greatly, he often told his girls they had “won the mother lottery”. The sisterhood she shared with Hilary and Laurel was an amazing adventure. The three sisters were also the best of friends. Hilary and Laurel supported and walked with Jennifer on her journey. Happiness is a close-knit family, and Jennifer loved hers. She shared special relationships with grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Jennifer and Garrott lived in Halifax, where they loved each other to the moon and back. Together they shared their lives with an awesome group of friends. Their home was a welcoming place where they loved to entertain friends and family. The laughter, fun, and essence of true friendship are now memories to be cherished by many.
In addition to her immediate family, Jennifer is survived by paternal grandmother, Lorraine Williams; maternal grandmother, Verne Beaton; aunt Liza (Glen) Campbell, uncle Joey (Marcie) Williams, aunts Donna (David) Simms, Marlene Beaton and uncle Donnie (Wendy) Beaton. She will be sorrowfully missed and joyfully remembered by her cousins Danielle Boudreau (Robert and Layton), Haley MacNeil (Tyler), Cole MacNeil, Tylor White (Shaylin and Faye), Jared Beaton, Trevor, Victoria Guyaux, Emilie, Johnathan, Darcy Williams, and Lauren and Andrew Campbell.
Jennifer is also survived by an amazing circle-of-friends who were so very significant in her life.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, John Williams, and maternal grandfather, Donnie Beaton.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass to celebrate Jennifer’s life will take place on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue with Fr. Jim Oliver officiating. A luncheon will follow at the parish hall, Convent Street. All are welcome.
