YOUNG, FRANCIS E.
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Francis “Frank” Edmund Young of Saint John, NB, husband of the late Effie (Daigle) Young which occurred on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Jacquet River, NB, he was a son of the late William and Maggie (Page) Young.
Frank was employed at McKays Lumber and also with Dunham’s Garage as a mechanic for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and being outdoors; he was an avid carpenter.
He is survived by one daughter: Faith James-Grangello (Brice Giggey) of Saint John; three brothers: Wilfred of ON, Augustine of Belledune, John of Jacquet River; one sister: Evelyn Lejeune of Belledune; two grandchildren: Shenean Dean (Joshua) and Jason James (Shawna); four great-grandchildren, Emma Grangello, Ava Dean, Jake and Will James; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by two sisters: Beatrice and Mary.
To honour the request of Frank there will be no visitation or funeral service. Following cremation interment will take place in St. Augustine’s Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424).
