The family of Read, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all our relatives and friends and neighbours for their kindness and support during this difficult time. To everyone who sent food, mass cards, sympathy cards, charitable donations, emails and made phone calls, we are sincerely grateful. We were overwhelmed at the turnout for the November 8th gathering at the Horizon Achievement Centre in Sydney as we were at Read's funeral on October 17th in Edmonton. Special thanks have to be given to Read's army buddies and fellow employees at Alberta Corrections, many of whom were in uniform, for their presence at the funeral Mass in Edmonton. Your presence will always be remembered. We will be forever grateful for the support received from relatives and friends in Edmonton, other parts of Canada and Cape Breton. To Sydney Memorial Chapel and the Horizon Achievement Centre, thank you for your assistance.
