LeBLANC, MICHAEL "MIKE"
1967 – 2015
Mike passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, November 23, 2015 after a two year courageous battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, Mike was the son of Bernie LeBlanc and Helen (Matthews) LeBlanc.
Besides his parents, Mike is survived by his fiancée, Katherine Swan; brother, Dana (Thérèse) of Dieppe; sister, Michele of Moncton; son, Justin Maxwell (Melissa) of Alberta and grandchildren, Sierra and Michael. Also survived by his Aunt Linda and Uncle Bill of Ottawa.
In addition, he is survived by nephews, Josh (Denise), Matthew (Robin), Nick and Mathieu and several cousins.
After Mike graduated from Bernice MacNaughton High, he moved to Ottawa where he installed hardwood flooring and specialty staircases for 20 years, before moving back to Moncton, where he was employed by Napa Auto Parts.
Although Mike was a little boy at heart when it came to remote control cars and kite flying, he was a big boy at heart when it came to Harley’s – he loved to ride his motorcycle.
There will be no service as per Mike’s wishes. Visitation will take place at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Interment will be at the Horsman Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
