LEARMONTH, GORDON JAMES
It is with sadness that the family of Gordon Learmonth, loving husband of Joyce Learmonth, announces his passing, which occurred on November 24, 2015, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Gordon was born in Halifax, NS on May 21st, 1945; he was a son of the late Vera May (Chisolm) and James Francis Learmonth.
In addition to his wife Joyce, Gordon is survived by his sons Alex (Donna) and Rick (Tina) as well as grandchildren Alexander James “A.J.”, Jay, Mindi, Richard “Bailey”, Abigail, Zachary and great-grandchild Bently; his sister, Helen (David) Bishop of Truro; brother, Richard (Deborah) of Upper Tantallon; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, George "Andrew” Learmonth.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses on 4A North at the Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.
As per Gordon’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Saint John SPCA - Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family.
