MELANSON, CAMILLE "CAM"
1942 - 2015
On Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the age of 73, Camille Melanson passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Gerard and the late Jeannita (Dupuis) Melanson.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 46 years, Alice (Green), his three sons: Denis (Janice), Maurice (Manon) and Serge (Nicole), all of Dieppe, as well as his sister, Thérèse Basque of Bathurst. Cam adored his four grandchildren, Mathieu, Sophie, Samuel and Patrick, and enjoyed playing a great game of cards with them.
Cam had a fulfulling 36-year career at the Co-Op Atlantic head office (retired in 1996). He was generous and kind, and though a man of few words, his humour was appreciated by all. He exemplified courage, determination, gratitude and positivity in the face of challenging health issues over the past 8 years.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate and honour his life; visitations will take place at the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901) on Thursday, November 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Anselme Church at 2 pm on Friday, November 27, 2015.
