With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our brother and uncle, Arthur Wells, age 72, on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015.
Born in Bay de L’eau, Fortune Bay, N.L., Arthur was the son of the late Jonathan and Lillian (Baker) Wells.
He was a longtime resident of North Sydney who enjoyed woodworking and was well liked by the staff and residents of Breton Ability Center where he resided the last number of years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, North Sydney.
Arthur is survived by his two sisters, Charlotte Curnock, North Sydney, Eileen (Thomas) West, Halifax and his brother John Wells, North Sydney; his nieces and nephews, Michael Curnock, Donna Curnock, Amanda (Paul) Jabalee, Joan Kanary (Doug MacDougall), William West and grandnieces and nephews, Christine, Olivia, Lilly, Kassandra, Jillian, Michael, Luke and Mitchell.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Frank in infancy.
A funeral service for Arthur will be held at 11 a.m. today in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney with Rev. Brenda Drake officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cape Breton Mental Health Services.
