SMALL, GORDON THOMAS
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gordon Small announces his death at the Veterans Health Unit in Fredericton, NB, on Thursday. November 26th, 2015 at the age of 92. Born on Staten Island, US, on November 17th, 1923, he was the husband of Vivian Small of Fredericton, NB.
In addition to his wife Vivian, Gordon leaves behind his stepchildren, Ted Hannah (Debra) of Calgary, AB, Elizabeth Hansen (Garry) of Fredericton, NB, and Greg Hannah (Nancy) of Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Robin Hannah of Calgary, AB, Barry Hannah of Red Deer, AB, and Brian Hansen of Fredericton, NB; as well as his nephews and nieces in the Chicago, US area.
Gordon was predeceased by his first wife, Eileen; parents, Frank and Louise (Jones) Small; siblings, Harold and Grace Small.
Gordon was a WWII veteran who served his country as an air frame mechanic. Following his release from the military he spent his career as a civil engineer, working in every province except Newfound and Labrador. Gordon was a member of the Fredericton Golden Club and served as their Treasurer for eight years.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will be held in Riverbank Cemetery, Kings County.
