Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Center on Friday, November 27, 2015 Donald Joseph Murphy, age 87 years. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Mabel, six sons Paul (Linda), Donald (Loretta), William (Kathy), Michael, Anthony (Michelle), John (Debbi) and daughter Florence Ann; eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers Kevin (Audrey) of St. John's, Francis (Beatrice) of Lower Sackville N.S., Joseph (Catherine) of Calgary, William (Doris) of British Columbia, Michael (Judith-deceased) of St. John's and David (Joyce) of Mt. Pearl; sisters Mary Kavanagh (Joseph-deceased) of Idaho, Gertrude Horan (Larry-deceased) and Joan Aspell (Douglas) 0f Nova Scotia. Also leaving a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 Lemarchant Road on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist with cremation to follow. No flowers by request, donations in his memory may be made to the Basilica Parish.
