Sheila (Aunt She) passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on November 28, 2015. Born on August 12, 1948 she was the daughter of the late Isabelle (Warman) and Murray Wilkins.
Sheila retired in 2012 after 35 years working at the provincial Department of Agriculture, Veterinary Branch. Her passions included Characters Incorporated, Warman reunions, celebrating Christmas and birthdays. Sheila loved and was dedicated to her family, especially her nieces and nephew and their children. She is remembered for her kindness, love and gentle spirit.
Sheila is survived by her brothers Brian (Louise), Arnie (Dianne), nieces Stacey (Jason) Scott, Megan Wilkins, Nancy (Bryan) Keetch and her nephew Michael (Jennifer) Wilkins, her great-nieces and nephews Lauren, Jordan, Regan, Leah, William and Eli, Uncle Red (Alice) Warman, Aunt Wanda (Stewart) Harding, Uncle Bill (Pick) Pickard and many Warman and Wilkins cousins.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive on Tuesday, December 1, 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 2 at 2:00 pm at the Marysville United Church with Archdeacon Patricia Drummond. Interment will take place at a later date.
For those who wish, the family will appreciate donations in support of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital “Care for Kids” campaign.
