Peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Sunday, November 20, 2015, of Marie Florence MacDonald of Tignish and formerly of Toronto age 86 years. Born at Tignish, on October 14, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Hazel (nee Brennan) Gaudet. Dear sister to Freda Perry of St. Felix, Lorne (Beth) Gaudet of Charlottetown, and Louise (Bob) Scrimgeur of Montreal. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Diane Seguin of Montreal, and Jan Francis of Charlottetown. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Irving and by siblings, Albertina (late Don) Theriault, Kathleen (late John) Roselund, George Gaudet, Billy (late Joan) Gaudet, Frances Gaudet and Roy Perry. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Funeral Tuesday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Rev. Brendon Gallant celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to St. Simon and St. Jude's Cemetery Fund, the Tignish Seniors Co-op Home, or to the Maplewood Manor Equipment Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
