Maureen Biggs of Riverview passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015. Born in New Waterford, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Theresa (Hinchey) O’Leary. She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and was very involved with the Ladies’ Society. Although she had moved away from home, Maureen always remained a New Waterford girl.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Samuel; daughter, Lauren (John) Richardson; son, Darren Biggs of Toronto, Ont.; brothers, William (Mary) O’Leary of Lawrencetown, N.S., Brian (Ann) O’Leary of Calgary, Alta.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; an aunt and uncle of New Waterford and her precious granddaughter, Emily.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Patricia White and brother, Thomas O’Leary Jr.
A funeral service will take place from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Phil Mulligan presiding. The interment will follow in Alderwood Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007).
Donations made to The Canadian Cancer Society or Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
