It is with great sadness and with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sylvia Dollemont, 95, on Monday, November 30, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.at the Serenacare Special Care Home in Moncton. Born on September 10, 1920 in Springhill, NS, she was the daughter of the late William and Alice (Boudreau) White.
She was the past owner of Sunny Brae Laundry and Dry Cleaners, Caledonia Waste Oil and Caledonia Tank Wash as well as Dollemont Fuels and Burner Service.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Fred (Doreen) of Dieppe, Judy Chapman (Danny) of Moncton and Joseph "Tiny" (Edith) of Irishtown; one daughter-in-law, Shelly; nine grandchildren: Angela, Pamela, Danny Joe, Lisa, Debbie, Trevor, Stephen, Christopher and Lindsay; two step-grandchildren: Lucien and Jean-Pierre; 12 great-grandchildren: Alysha, Nicole, Bianca, Nathan, Brody, Chloe, Elise, Thomas, Logan, Jay-La, Preston and William; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her husband Joe (2003); two sons: Billy and Mike; three sisters: Eva, Lena and Olive; five brothers: Theopollis, Leo, Gilbert, Tony and Alexander.
Special thanks to Dr. Donald and Serenacare Special Care Home for their compassion and attention towards Sylvia. To the girls who cared for our mother and to the special girl herself, Susan Dixson, our mother loved you all.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 pm until time of funeral. A reception will follow at the centre. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
