Pauline MacLeod

Pauline MacLeod of Borden, P.E.I., and Halifax (Northwood - 3 Centre), Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on Dec. 2 at the QE 2 Infirmary in Halifax. Born in Borden, in 1922, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Eliza (Clark) MacIsaac. She was predeceased by her husband, David, Dartmouth, NS (formerly Borden), brother, Jack (Wilna), Borden, sisters Jean (Frank Butler), Charlottetown, and Eleanor, Boston, MA. She was also predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Elmer (Florie) MacLeod and Louis (Edith) MacLeod, Graham’s Road and sister-in-law, Margaret (Bryer) Jones, Charlottetown. Pauline is survived by her children, JoAnne (Preston Shea), Windsor, ON; David (Kathy McNaughton), Cole Harbour, NS; four grandchildren, Erin and Connor Shea (Meghan Carew); Michael and Andrew MacLeod; two great-grandchildren, Autumn and Isla Shea, and many loving nieces and nephews. Pauline was devoted to her family whom she loved dearly and the community of Borden, P.E.I. She was a great baker, hairdresser and she loved crafts, including knitting, crocheting, and ceramics. She was a woman of unconditional love and unwavering faith and she will be greatly missed. She was always sweet and genuinely interested in family and anyone who she chatted with and always said “Hi Dear”. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the wonderful staff at Northwood Nursing Home (3 Centre), Halifax, who cared for her with genuine compassion and love for the past 20 months and to the staff of the QE 2 Infirmary floor 8.4 for their compassionate care for Mom and her family. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, P.E.I., for visitation on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 2-4 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Seven Mile Bay, on Monday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley, P.E.I. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay. Arrangements entrusted to Davison Funeral Home, Kensington.
