Sherwood, Otto “Ted”
The peaceful passing of Otto “Ted” Sherwood, husband of the late Lillian (Turnbull) Sherwood of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, with his family by his side. Born on September 30, 1930 in Stanley, NB, he was a son of the late Eldon and Lena (MacBean) Sherwood. He worked for UNB as a Level Two Bookkeeper. Ted loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Ted is survived by his son, Andrew Sherwood (Peggy); grandchildren, Joshua and Hannah; sister, Doris Pinnock; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Noreen Dorcas, Jessie Schwartz and brother, John Sherwood.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kimberly Barlow and Rev. David Appleby officiating. Interment will take place at St. Peter’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Stanley, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Chalmers Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care Unit or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
