Passed after a very short illness on Sunday, November 29th 2015 at Sir Thomas Roddick in Stephenville, NL. Linda was born June 6th, 1950 in St. John's. After graduating from Prince of Wales College in St.John's Linda attended Memorial University. Upon graduation from Memorial University Linda taught school in Port Aux Basques and Stephenville. In 1975 Linda began working at the College of the North Atlantic where she was the province wide Registrar until her retirement in 2013. She loved her gardens, traveling and the beaches of Southern Maine. Predeceased by her father Bruce Jeans and her brother Derek. Left with cherished memories her loving husband William (Bill) Dunne and her mother Alma LeMessurier and countless relatives and friends. A sincere thank you to all the doctors and nurses and other staff at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. Visitation took place at Russell's Funeral Home on Wednesday December 2nd 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service took place on Thursday December 3rd, 2015 at 2 p.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church on Hillview Avenue. Linda's remains will then go forward to Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, for visitation on Tuesday December 8th 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9, with a funeral service to be held at Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
