Juliette Beauchamp
Juliette Hermine Beauchamp of Swift Current, SK passed away on November 26, 2015, with her son Paul by her side, at the Swift Current Care Centre. Juliette was born to Salem and Louisa Larivière on June 28, 1929, in Gravelbourg, SK, and was the second youngest of eight children. Juliette was raised on the family farm near Gravelbourg and went on to receive a diploma from the Institute of Commercial Design in Calgary. For a time she helped her brother, Father Richard Larivière, as a caretaker at several parishes. Juliette married Guy Beauchamp on August 2, 1956. They were blessed with one son, Paul, born on June 22, 1959. They lived on a family farm in the Frenchville District, near Cadillac, SK. Juliette loved to cook and plant large gardens. She was also an artist, and made beautiful mosaics. She was a hard worker, caring for livestock and helping with harvest. Later, Juliette and her brother began raising Arabian horses. They were passionate about their horses and went on trips across the United States seeking breeding stock. Due to declining health Juliette was forced to leave her family and the farm. She was determined to spend as much time as she could with Paul, and although her health continued to decline, she cherished every moment with him. Paul had a very close relationship with his mother, one of unconditional love, and she will be dearly missed.
Juliette is survived by her son Paul Beauchamp and husband Guy Beauchamp. Predeceased by her parents Salem and Louise (née Vaudry) Larivière; siblings Father Richard, Lucille, Simone, Wilfred, Alice, Maurice, Georgette.
