KIRCHNER, PAULINE
Mary Pauline (nee Emery) Kirchner, age 105, died December 4, 2015, in Vancouver. Pauline was born May 21, 1910 in Saint John, NB. She was the eldest daughter of Edward (Ned) Emery and Annie Pauline (Delaney) Emery of Saint John and later of Dorchester.
She is survived by her step-daughter, Bobbe Bains, and by her nieces and nephews, Mary (Nugent) Jepp, Mary Lou Emery, John Emery, Monica Emery, Anne Emery, and Elizabeth (Emery) Strusinski.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Kirchner.
Pauline lived a full and rich life; with her first old age pension cheque, she bought a pair of skis. Her extended family gathered in Vancouver for her 100th birthday and enjoyed a wonderful reunion with her and with each other. She was greatly loved and will be missed.
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to cousins Cathy (Montague) Houldson and Peter Montague, and to Pauline’s dear friend Mary McDonald, for all their help and support over the years.
A memorial Mass was held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at St. John the Apostle church in Vancouver, Fr. Terry Bileski officiating. Condolences for the family can be left online at www.kearneyfs.com.
