Margaret Smith
Smith, Margaret Wescott, 80 of New Glasgow passed away peacefully December 16, 2015 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Coalburn, Pictou County she was a daughter of the late John “Jack” and Annie (Hughes) Weir.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Jardine (Kenneth), Union Center; Sherry Anderson (Robert), Little Harbour; Susan Langille (Sheldon), Fraser’s Mountain; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Diane Smith, Lower Sackville; Phyllis Smith, New Glasgow.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward S. “Bud” Smith, sons John E. Smith, Stanley ”Scott” Smith, a brother John J. Weir.
Cremation to take place.
There will be no visitation or services at the request of the family. A private committal will be held in the Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow at a later date.
Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
