It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Florence Joan Doncaster, age 83, of Sackville. Florence passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 with family by her side.
Born in Mount View, NB, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Nettie (Stiles) Wheaton.
Florence enjoyed her role as a stay at home mother of 7 children and a dedicated wife. She always looked forward to visits from her many friends and relatives. Florence loved knitting, reading and baking.
Florence will be sadly missed by daughters, Debbie (Malcolm) Fisher and Angela (Gordon) Carlisle, both of Sackville, Kimberly (Stephen) Bowes of Shediac, and Krista Doncaster of Maple Ridge, BC; sons, Daniel (Ann), Brian (Marlene), and Ted (Kelli) all of Sackville; 19 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Chester (Barbara), Guelph, ON, Clair (Pat) and Ronald, both of Sackville, and several nieces and nephews.
Florence was predeceased by her husband Robert "Bud"; brothers Raymond, Orley and Kenneth.
Florence's remains have been entrusted into the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). Friends paid their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, December 10, from 6 pm unitl 8 pm. The funeral service took place at the Main Street Baptist Church on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2 pm. Pastor Andrew Swanson officiated. Interment followed at the Four Corners Cemetery.
