MacLEOD, MARGARET
At Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB December 16, 2015 Margaret Lou (Hyslop) MacLeod, wife of the late Arnold MacLeod and daughter of the late George and Frances Hyslop.
Margaret began her work career as a teacher and soon after married Arnold and had a full life working on the farm. She was involved in many community services as a school bus driver, member of Knox United Church, United Church Women, Life Member of Enterprise Women’s Institute and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survived by her children Carol Sutherland (Ronnie), Anne McConkey (Donnie), George MacLeod (Mary Anne), Robert MacLeod (Alana), grandchildren Angie, Lisa, Kevin, David, Paul, Michael, Virginia, Daniel, Margaret, Katherine, Matthew, Elizabeth, Tristan, 13 great-grandchildren and one brother Chester Hyslop (Georgie), son-in-law Vernon Lister (Sue), sister-in-law Marlene Campbell, brothers-in-law Carl MacLeod, William MacLeod (Sue) and Earl Masters, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Lister, brother Sidney Hyslop and sister Eunice Merrithew (Arthur), sisters-in-law Danena Masters and Eva MacLeod.
Funeral service will be held at The S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, NB on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2:30 PM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 2:30 PM. St Stephen Chapter # 8 O.E.S. will hold a tribute service Sunday at 12:30 PM. Interment at Oak Bay Cemetery, Oak Bay, NB.
