SHAW, DALE PHILLIP
Dale P. Shaw of Harvey Station, NB passed away peacefully on December 16, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Dale was born at Woodstock, NB in 1943. His mother, Marion Faulkner passed away when he was a young boy and Dale grew up in the care of the community. Dale had particularly fond memories of his time in the care of Walter Bishop who he considered as a father and of his time on the Wendell Harper farm.
He was principal at Harvey Elementary School for 26 years.
Dale was the beloved father of his children, Jeffrey Shaw (Katherine), Diane MacLaren (Joseph) and Christy Shaw (Richard), all of Harvey Station, NB; loving grampy of his seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Sarah, William, Jack, Kaden, Shane, and Isabella; and is also survived by a brother, Robert Shaw; a sister, Joan Thomas and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosalie Margaret (Burpee) Shaw in 2003.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Friday from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2412 Route 3, Harvey, NB on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Anne Boudreau officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will be later at Cherry Mountain Cemetery.
