Lawrence James Racette

Lawrence James Racette passed away peacefully in Saskatoon City Hospital on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Lawrence was born in North Battleford, SK on November 28, 1928. He worked in the forest industry in Port Alberni, BC. Lawrence loved his Metis fiddle music, dancing and enjoyed a good game of golf. Lawrence will be sadly missed by his family and friends, and by all who knew him. Lawrence is survived by his loving companion, Anne Tkachuk; two sisters, Kathleen Stepanek and Eileen (Bob) Schneider; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Elsie Racette; two brothers, Gordon and Raymond; sister, Evelyn Halko; and brother-in-law, Clarence Stepanek. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, with Rev. Fr. Kevin McGee officiating.
