CORMIER, OSCAR
1920 – 2015
Oscar Cormier, 95, of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Bouctouche passed away peacefully at the residence on Saturday December 19, 2015. He was married to the late Lucille (Henrie) Cormier (2011). Born in Saint-Maurice de Kent, he was the son of the late Jim and the late Marcelline (Arsenault) Cormier.
He will be sadly missed by his two brothers; Joseph of Saint-John and Adelard of Bouctouche, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as his goddaughter Joanne Despres (Paul) and was a devoted uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by six sisters; Yvonne in infancy, Azélie, Marie, Sr, Alice, Elizabeth and Claira and five brothers; Oscar in infancy, Edmond, Hector, Willie and Alfred.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 10 to 11:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 12 noon with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Oscar’s memory, donations may be made to the Saint-Jean Baptiste Bouctouche Parish.
